Measuring Stuxnet effects
Evidence of continued disruption comes from security firms providing solutions to industrial companies to deal with Stuxnet infections. Eric Byres, an expert from SCADA security firm Tofino Security, told the Post that his company’s website was receiving an increasing number of visits from Iranians in recent weeks, suggesting that dealing with Stuxnet and properly securing industrial automation and control systems was still a problem for the Iranians.
Iranians may consider an anonymous proxy. If they happen to find an anonymous proxy they can rely on (oxymoron?).
This one’s for the SCADA experts around here. Yes, I mean you Pau ;-)

Interesting series of articles on stuxnet! it’s been some time since i stopped reading articles on stuxnet, one reason was that i almost never found something really technical (except for that ivanlefou’s page https://www.ivanlef0u.tuxfamily.org ), the other reason was (i think you’ve already guessed) that i wasn’t able to understand it.
In one of the conferences of this year’s Noconname they talked about that, focusing on how to protect the SCADA network and not giving any details about the lnk vulnerability or the stuxnet. The most interesting part for me were the theories about what was going on behind the scenes. They talked about distracting attention from something bigger while raising all this expectation about stuxnet. Another theory was that these attacks could have been launched to attract attention on poor conditions of their infrastructure in order to increase investments. But what was really mentioned was that these attacks were carried from a huge organisation like governments and possibly more than one country involved. I see that the last one is carried on in these articles.
Salut!

“To check out the worm, you have to know the machines,” said an American expert on nuclear intelligence. “The reason the worm has been effective is that the Israelis tried it out.”
